Sales and Business Development Representative Full Time

Job Purpose 
Deliver on business goals, including growth and expansion, revenue and profitability for the assigned territory, developing and executing strategies that ensure delivery of results through wholesale and retail execution and category management, leveraging existing and new businesses

Main Responsibilities 

• Develop and execute a relevant business development and marketing strategy for the territory in collaboration with HQ in Dar es Salaam
• Plays a key role as business advisor to senior leadership at HQ and regional level
• Identifies and recommends new business partners for engagement by the Company, including wholesalers, retailers/dealers, agents, etc
• Manages wholesale, retail, and category sales channels to ensure sustainable performance in sales volume and revenue vs target, which includes merchandising
• Gathers and analyses market information, including competitor activities, and prepares tactical response
• Manages distributor accounts in line with company policy and procedure, ensuring timely payment and collections
• Works closely with supply chain teams locally and HQ to ensure adequate stock availability to meet demand
• Develops and maintains healthy relationships with customers and other key stakeholders
• Drives customer service excellence across channels and timely resolves customer complaints
• Manages company assets in line with company policy
• Prepares and timely submits management reports, including commercial projects, competitor activity, sales performance reports, etc

Key Requirements

• Degree in business, marketing or related
• 7 years of successful career in similar roles esp from FMCGs/Beverages sales and manufacturing sector
• Excellent knowledge and skills in business development, sales, and marketing
• Excellent understanding of local market especially for fast moving consumer goods including beverages
• Skilled in distributor/dealer management/Customer relationship management
• Demonstrate a high level of integrity and trustworthiness
• Highly results-oriented, adept at problem solving
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision/general guidance
