Pre-school Teacher Full Time

Job Overview

On behalf of our Client, a renowned pre-school with outstanding track record of successfully nurturing and developing children into young adults, we are currently seeking for a passionate and dedicated teachers to join the teaching team for the the pre-school in Dar es Salaam, which follows an emergent curriculum inspired by the renowned Reggio Emilia educational approach.  Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement an engaging emergent curriculum based on the Reggio Emilia approach.
• Create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and critical thinking.
• Foster a strong sense of community and collaboration among students, teachers, and parents.
• Observe and document children’s progress and development and provide regular feedback to parents.
• Plan and facilitate a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, music, language development, sensory exploration, and outdoor play.
• Support children’s social and emotional development through positive guidance and modelling.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational program.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a preschool or early childhood setting.
• Familiarity with the Reggio Emilia educational approach and its principles.
• Passion for working with young children and a deep understanding of their developmental needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with parents, staff, and pupils.
• Creativity, flexibility, and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of individual learners.
• Fluency in English (both spoken and written) is required. Knowledge of Swahili is a plus.
