Pharmaceutical Technician Full Time

CardioCare Tanzania is inviting qualified and experienced individuals to apply for the Pharmaceutical Technician role,  who  will be responsible for dispensing medications, monitoring inventory, and ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical regulations in Tanzania, assisting pharmacists in preparing and distributing medicines while providing excellent customer service to patients

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and dispense prescribed medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Ensure accurate labeling, packaging, and dosage instructions for patients.
• Maintain stock levels, ensure proper storage, conduct stock-taking, and monitor expiry dates to prevent wastage.
• Order and receive pharmaceutical supplies following regulations.
• Advise patients on the proper use of medications and possible side effects.
• Address customer inquiries regarding prescription and over-the-counter drugs.
• Ensure adherence to the Tanzania Medicines and Medical Devices Authority (TMDA) guidelines
• Maintain accurate records of dispensed medications and prescriptions.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper organization within the pharmacy.
• Support the pharmacist in administrative and operational tasks as directed

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences from a recognized institution
• Be registered with the Pharmacy Council of Tanzania
• 2+ years of successful track record in the field in a similar role
• Good knowledge of pharmaceutical products and regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attentive to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Highly customer-focused and strong commitment to patients’ well-being
